Honiara, 24 April 2023 – A training workshop for fisheries officers from Noro and Gizo, conducted by the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources’ Human Resources Manager, Mr Hubert Gua and his team, concluded last week in Noro.

The workshop covered essential topics such as Performance Management Process (PMP), Attendance Management Process (AMP), code of conduct, and basic media training for reporting on fisheries activities.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the informative sessions and commended the organizers for their efforts in delivering a well-rounded program.

Mr. Derick Suimae, Chief Fisheries Officer at Noro, thanked Mr. Gua for organizing the program and recommended a follow-up workshop to be held next year.

Mr. Gua, in response, thanked the participants for their support and hospitality, noting that the success of the program was due to their contributions.

He expressed enthusiasm for future initiatives, saying, “We are looking forward to some more programs for you in 2024. The team really had a good time, and we achieved our objectives.”
