A former police officer Edward Juvia is the New Clerk of the Guadalcanal Provincial Assembly.

A statement from the province said: “As we commence our Provincial Assembly Meeting this week, we first and foremost send our warm congratulations to Mr. Edward Juvia on his new appointment as the new Clerk to the Guadalcanal Provincial Assembly.”

In his short acceptance speech, Mr. Juvia had thanked the members of the provincial assembly for their firm confidence being placed on him to serve the Guadalcanal Provincial Assembly on behalf of the people of Guadalcanal. He stated that he will serve Guadalcanal Province with dignity and interest to the best of his ability
