GNUT TO ORGANIZE DONOR ROUND TABLE EVENT

Within the 100 days in office, the Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT) will organize a donor roundtable event.

The aim of the donor roundtable discussion is to align donor supports with the government’s priorities.

This initiative is part of the 100 days program of the GNUT led by Prime Minister Honorable Jeremiah Manele, MP.

In his speech during the launching of the 100 days program and policy statement, Prime Minister Manele stated that “this event will be a pivotal platform to align the support of our development partners with our national priorities”.

The Prime Minister emphasized that bringing together development partners will enhance stronger partnerships and that assistances we are receiving will be more streamlined and effective in meeting our strategic goals.

In further highlighting the importance of the roundtable event, PM Manele stated that “this roundtable will facilitate open dialogue, enhance mutual understanding, and solidify our collaborative efforts, ensuring that our developmental objectives are met with comprehensive and coordinated support”.

Besides this donor roundtable event, the Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT) also plans to host a National Economic Summit whose ultimate aim is to produce a comprehensive economic roadmap.

The National Economic Summit will bring together experts of different fields together and ensures discussion leading to the production of the comprehensive economic roadmap which will serve as a guiding light- steering the nation towards prosperity, resilience and sustainable development.
