First votes cast today by police and electoral officials

ELECTION CORNER: Police officers and electoral officials that are earmarked for election duties, have today become the first voters of the 2024 Joint Election through pre-poll voting or voting before polling or Election Day, Wednesday, April 17.

The officials will be on duty during Election Day and had earlier applied to be on the pre-poll voter list.

The Electoral Commission by notice, declared that pre-poll voting be conducted on Friday 5 April, 2024, between the hours of 7am and 4pm.

Pre-poll voting places have also been declared in 19 places along with the respective Presiding Officer.
