Initial report states that a female foreigner went to the Bonehe beach for scuba diving, she parked her vehicle at the beach, and was diving, upon her return she discovered that the vehicle was opened and money went missing.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province, Superintendent Edwin Sevoa confirms that the matter was reported to the Henderson police station and investigation is now underway.

According to Sevoa, police have recorded several incidents that already occurred at Bonehe beach and he calls on citizens and foreigners to take extra care when going out for diving or picnic on the beaches.

He suggested to those going on diving there or even to swim to have someone to look after their properties to avoid such incidents from happening.

Regarding the incident, Sevoa said investigation into this matter is continuing and he appels to the members of the communities at Bonehe who may have any information to come forward and report it to the police to get those responsible to face justice.
