He will join Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare and SICCI Board Chairman Jay Bartlett in delivering official remarks at the BEA under this year’s theme “Partnerships for a Shared Future”.

SICCI Chair, Jay Bartlett acknowledges Dr Transform Aqorau’s attendance noting that now more than ever, the country needs all the decision-makers from private sector, from Government and its partners working together to realise stronger economic growth.

“It is also an honour for us to be able to host one of Solomon Islands’ very own leaders who has been prominent in a sector that contributes to our island countries’ earnings over the years.”

“The BEA theme is on partnerships and to have a high calibre regional leader to speak on the theme is very important to us,” Mr Bartlett said.

Dr Aqorau is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA) in Majuro, Marshall Islands.  He is a board member of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF).
