The Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) has a qualified Dietetics & Nutrition Officer, Ms Stacy Kofela a Graduate Bachelor of Dietetics and Nutrition at the Fiji National University. She has taken her Oath or Affirmation on Enlistment at the Correctional Headquarter, Rove, on the 03 April 2020.
The appointment of Dietetic & Nutrition Officer are paramount need for the organisation based on recommendations from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the service of dietetics & nutrition food chain assessments for prisoners and also in accordance to the United Nation Minimum Standard for Treatment of Prisoners and Mandela Rule 35.
CSSI Commissioner Gabriel Manelusi says, with reference to the above recommendations, I am pleased to inform you that in accordance with section 123 (2) of the Solomon Islands Constitution and Section 10 of the Correctional Services Act 2007. You are appointed as an Officer in the Correctional Service Solomon Islands for a six (06) months probationary period with effect from your date of appointment. Your appointment is subject to the provisions of the Correctional Services Act and Regulation 2007 and the General Orders.
