The two returning students from the Philippines who were suspected of COVID-19 were tested negative for coronavirus.
Permanent Secretary of the Minister of Health and Medical Services Pauline McNeil confirmed this afternoon in the ‘Meet the Press’ that the good news is the students test results were negative.
The two were in close contact with the current student who was tested positive with COVID-19 and now in isolation at the NRH.
PM Manasseh Sogavare said yesterday that the test results for the two were inconclusive and repeated tests were carried out yesterday.
Speaking today, McNeil said: “Regards the two suspect cases from yesterday they turned out to be negative.”
She said they will remain in the isolation at the NRH until such a time they would be moved to another location.
