USP Pacific TAFE holds four days training for Solomon Power

Solomon Power staff has benefited from a four-day training provided by USP Pacific Technical and Further Education (USP PTAFE).

A total of 90 staff of Solomon Power (including Provincial staff) attended the training. The trainings were in “Critical elements of customer service” and “Leadership skills for supervisors.” These trainings eventuate after signing of Service agreement between Solomon Power and USP Pacific Technical and Further Education (PTAFE)

The opening ceremony of the training was witnessed by USPSI campus Director Dr Billy Fito’o and USP Pacific TAFE Campus Coordinator (Sub-Degree) John Paikula. In his opening remarks, The USPSI campus Director Dr Billy Fito’o acknowledged the Solomon Power Senior Management for choosing USP as partner in trainings. He added that Solomon Power made the right and best decision when choosing USP’s Pacific Technical and Further Education (PTAFE) as partner in training.

Dr Billy also mentioned that USP’s PTAFE is committed to collaborating with organizations and industries to offer certified programs that address specific skill requirements. These programmes, providing high-quality Skills Based Qualifications, are administered through the College of Continuing Vocational Education and Training (CVET).

Customer service training is important for organizations because it provides employees with the proper techniques and best practices for dealing with customers. The customer service Training allows employees to communicate with customers effectively, handle escalating problems, and successfully solve them.

On the other hand, leadership is essential to an organization’s success. An organization that has a strong leadership culture is usually a successful organization. Great leaders help to make great organizations and they are motivated, focused, creative, and look to foster a healthy, and honest working environment.

In his response during the opening of the four-day training, General Manager Corporate Mr Droumand Rupert, expressed his heart felt gratitude on behalf of Solomon Power to USP PTAFE for accepting their training request.

He makes assurance that USP is always Solomon Power’s institution of preference when comes to training. Mr. Rupert mentioned that Solomon Power has endorsed several staff to join other USP Pacific TAFE training courses such Diploma in Project Management under College of Vocational Education and Training (CVET). Mr. Rupert urged Solomon Power staff to do good work planning and must attend such important training when and where, arranged by Solomon Power.

The training aimed to instigate positive transformations in Solomon Power staff to attain productive and quality output in the workplace. Additionally, these training courses will play a crucial role in fostering good customer service and good leadership amongst all Solomon Power employees. The four days training for Solomon Power ended on a very high note.
