It was all smiles and excitement this morning as the Advanced Technology Construction owner Hudson Wakio delivered keys to the newly completed 2 storey-building to house the newest secondary students at New Hope Academy School in Honiara.
Delivered on time and on budget, Wakio handed the keys to applauding school kids, parents, teachers and directors in front of the new building at Townground in West Honiara following the completion of work by his company.
He thanked them for the trust and confidence they had in his company to complete the classroom in the required time-frame.
Wakio said it has taken them just three months to complete the job as required.
“Our plate was full with us doing some jobs too but we tried our best to complete the work on time,” said Wakio.
Chairman of the School Dr Hudson Namo said the building will house the secondary school stream of the academy.
He said it was part of the school’s plan to build a new building to cater for their secondary students.
Currently, New Hope Academy only has forms one to three in the secondary stream with classes one to six in the primary category, and are planning to add senior forms in the years ahead.
“So, we are thankful for the completion on the building,” said Dr Namo.
He pointed out that as a school they strive to achieve three goals: quality education, access to education, good management which also fall in line with the ministry of education’s strategic goals.
He commended the Advanced Technology Construction for a professional job in enduring the building is completed on time and on budget.
The new building was blessed by Norman Pitakaka, who is one of the leaders of the school.
