The Solomon Islands Council of Trade Unions is calling on the Government to be inclusive in its approach by involving SICTU in its undertakings intended to manage and improve the operation of the Government and the economy.
SICTU calls on the Government to include SICTU in its various:

SOE Boards and others
-
Ministerial Committees
-
Commissions
-
Parliamentary Standing Committee

And discussions organised by the Government where workers interests are or might be affected across all sector.
In a statement, SICTU believes that the way forward for economic sustainability is to adopt the tripartite approach embraced by the Ministry of Commerce under which, the Labour Advisory Board is established.
It says for far too long, the workers who are the backbones of the economy have been denied their voices in decision makings avenues.
SICTU envisioned that including all economic stakeholders can provide several benefits:
