PRC Embassy condemns illegal activities by individuals claiming to be acting on their behalf

The Chinese Embassy in Honiara today issued a statement condemning certain individuals who have falsely claimed to be cooperating with Chinese Embassy, privately accepting applications for cooperation projects and charging fees.

In a statement today, the Embassy said: “The Chinese Embassy in SI (Solomon Islands) hereby states that, the Chinese Embassy is the sole legitimate representative of the Chinese Government in SI and has never authorized any individual or private institution to conduct cooperation on its behalf.

The Chinese Embassy strongly condemns such illegal activities and urges all SI friends to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraud.

The Embassy said: Recently, certain individuals have falsely claimed to be cooperating with Chinese Embassy, privately accepting applications for cooperation projects and charging fees.”
