PM: Gov’t remains committed to physical and economic infrastructures development

The Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement (DCGA) is committed to the development of physical and economic infrastructures to facilitate long-term growth and prosperity.

This was highlighted by the Prime Minister, Hon. Manasseh Sogavare, MP during his keynote address at the launch of the ICTSU’s new office headquarter and project initiatives achievements package, Monday 2nd March 2020.

Over the last 12 months, the government’s efforts to bring online the international and domestic submarine cables network, the ICTSU initiatives.

According to the Prime Minister, these “are visible manifestations of our commitment to our national digital transformation objective.”

The Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (OPMC) is working together with the Ministry of Communications and Aviation (MCA) and the ICTSU under the Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MOFT) to establish a National Digital Transformation Authority to coordinate and secure financing for the implementation of the National ICT Policy that was endorsed by Cabinet in 2017.

The DCGA is committed to the delivery of policy priorities in the interests of peace, national stability and economic advancement.
