No tsunami threat after 6.3 earthquake

There’s no tsunami threat to Solomon Islands following an undersea earthquake of magnitude 6.3 that occurred at 4:02pm this afternoon confirms the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service (SIMS).

According to SIMS, the tremor epicentre was located near Latitude 10.1 Degrees South, Longitude 161.02 Degrees East approximately 107 km West-Northwest of Kirakira, Makira Province.
