Police in Buala, Isabel have arrested and charged five suspects for house break-in at Buala village last week.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Isabel Province Inspector, Harry Vanosi says the house owner was away to attend his mother’s funeral in another village when the suspects broke into his canteen and took a sum of $9,000.00 cash with goods worth more than $2,000.
The suspects used a hammer to break off the walling next to the counter and gained access into the canteen.
Vanosi says upon the apprehension of the suspects, the investigators recovered $6,200 cash and five sleeves of cigarette. Among the suspects was a juvenile.

“Our young people please learn to respect our neighbours and I must remind you that police are here to deal with any unwanted action in our communities,” Inspector Vanosi said.
The suspects were released on bail and will appear before Buala Magistrates’ Court on the 12 August 2024.
