In this Scoping Study, MASI also consulted with other stakeholders on the fringe of the media industry to gauge their opinions on the standard of professionalism in this industry.

In addition, an Audience Survey was also conducted to determine how well the public understand the media profession and how they receive news and information. The survey and consultations were done at seven sites – Honiara, Guadalcanal, Auki, Malaita Province, Gizo, Western Province and Lata, Temotu Province.

The finding gives detail into the changing landscape of how people consume their news or information in the country.
