In a shocking revelation, a 36-yr-old man is detained in police custody in the Western Province on allegations that he has raped four of his daughters, one of them his step-daughter on different occasions.
Commissioner of Police Mostyn Matanga told the press that all his victims, three of his biological daughters and one step-daughter were two years and below.
The incidents only surfaced after the mother knew about it last month and reported to police— angering the father who threatened to kill her.
In the first allegation, the father was accused of raping his step-daughter in January 2017 when his wife was away to deliver their second born child. The victim at the time of the incident was 2-years-old.
The second incident was alleged to have happened on 10th January 2019 during which the father had sexual intercourse with his second daughter whilst the mother and third born daughter were away from home. The victim was 2-years-old then.
The third incident happened on two different dates between 3rd July and 31st July this year in which the suspect was alleged to have sexual intercourse with his third born daughter and his two-month old baby. The incident happened when the mother was in the kitchen preparing food. The third daughter was 1-year-11 months.
Mangau said the suspect had threatened to kill his wife and as a result she reported the matter to police.
The suspect was arrested and remanded in custody.
The four girls whom the father allegedly raped are the only children in the family.
