Sinopharm vaccines from China have landed


Sinopharm Vaccines from Peoples Republic of China has arrived in Honiara early in the morning of 12 April via Solomon Airline Charter flight.

PRC Ambassador Li Ming, Hon. Deputy Prime Minister Manasseh Maelanga and Hon. Minister of Health DrCulwick Togamana were at the airport to welcome the vaccines,

“Finally 50,000 Sinopharm vaccine donated by china has arrived. Thank you China for the generous donation. Once approved by WHO which is expected soon, roll out will commence,* Ministry of Health says on its Facebook page.


SBMOnline understands that the government will only start the rollout once the vaccine is approved for used by the World Health Organisation.
